Sean Levert Found Dead

Sean Levert, 39 (center) was found dead in the Cuyahoga County Jail in Cleveland, Ohio over the weekend The cause of death is unknown at this point, but an autopsy will be done today to determine the cause of death.

Sean Levert was being held for allegedly failing to pay about $80,000 in child support.

Sean Levert was an accomplished R&B artist and actor; and the brother of the late Gerald Levert who died November 10, 2006.

Leona Lewis $100 Million Contract

Pop star Leona Lewis is reportedly could be set for a $100 million contract with Simon Cowell's Syco Records and Clive Davis' J Records.

Lewis has rocketed into a huge success both in the UK and the United States with her hottest single, "Bleeding Love". She has become the first British female solo star in over 20 years to take the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100, knocking "Usher's Love In This Club" from the top.

Supposedly, Clive Davis is on the verge of trashing their old contract and offering the songtress a $100 million record deal to keep her signed to the labels. The deal will include all her music releases and live shows around the globe.

If this $100 million contract becomes official, it will surpass Madonna's contract of $80 million which was the record.

Well, well could Diddy be mad because his ex, Jennifer Lopez got the cover of People's magazine with a large layout of her new twins, Emme and Max and her hubby, Mark Anthony? According to the New York Post,

Sean Combs is said to be furious at People magazine for panning his
performance in "A Raisin in the Sun" and burying the photos of his twins in the
back pages. The weekly just featured Diddy's ex-girlfriend, Jennifer Lopez
and her twins, Max and Emme, on the cover - and a large layout inside on them
and Lopez's hubby, Marc Anthony. "It was the last straw for Diddy," an
insider said, "They gave him lousy placement [in the Feb 12, 2007] issue when
Kim Porter had his twins, D'Lila Star and Jessie James." If People paid
anything for the photos, it was a tiny fraction of the $6 million the weekly
allegedly paid for the images of the J.Lo twins. In the March 3 issue, a
review of "A Raisin" praised Phylicia Rashad and Audra McDonald, but then added,
"The one problem: Sean Combs ... he stands there blinking, baby-faced, unable to
leap into the actresses' ring of fire."

Now it appears that what was said could be possibly just a rumor. A rep for Diddy e-mailed the New York Post with a statement, "Sean loves People magazine and all the wonderful coverage they have given him over the years."

The Pussycat Dolls were reportedly performing for a Malaysian audience, when Carmit Bachar nipple popped out and Ashley Roberts short shorts "exposed" her. Obviously, this was a costume malfunction, but at any rate, Malaysia is a Muslim country with very strict Muslim policies. The concert promoter will be fined $3,400 for going against the dress code of perfomers.

Malaysia has strict rules for female performers, which includes females are to cover up to their shoulders and below their knees. Also, shouting, jumping and throwing objects on and off stage are banned.

Akon has revealed that he has recorded a country album under an alias. Supposedly, he wants to be the first black artist to conquer this music genre. Akon has confessed that he is a huge country and western music fan and definitely knows that he probably would not be able to sell the record under his name.

T.I. Will Enter Plea Today

T.I. is expected to appear at the Federal Court house today where he will plead guilty to multiple firearms charges. Sources, say T.I. and his attorneys have been plea negotiations over the past several weeks.

He will serve an estimated 12 months in prison and sentenced to 1,500 hours of community service. U.S. District Court Judge Charles Pannell Jr. is expected to review and accept the plea today around 1:30 pm.

T.I. is currently free on $3 million bond, but on house arrest at his home in Clayton County, Georgia.

Kimora Lee Simmons has filed divorce papers in Los Angeles to finally bring an end to the marriage. Kimora Lee Simmons and Russell Simmons have been separated since 2006 after 15 years of marriage. The documents for divorce proceedings were filed on Wednesday, March 26 in a Los Angeles County Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.

Kimora is seeking physical custody of the couple's two daughters.

Mary J. Blige shuts the bootleggers down. Mary J. Blige has filed a lawsuit in a Court against counterfeiters who will be sell knockoff "Heart of the City" tour T-shirts and merchandise outside her concert with Jay-Z at Nassau Coliseum.

According to the New York Post, she is suing John Does and Jane Does numbered 1 through 100, so law enforcement can confiscate the bogus stuff as they are selling it," said a source. "Defendants will be selling and distributing unauthorized goods at the Coliseum bearing the marks of artist Mary J. Blige," the suit reads. "They are sued under fictitious names because their true names are unknown at this time."

A Maryland producer, Dayna Staggs aka D'Mystro is suing Kanye West and Roc-a-Fella for copyright infringement of his song, "Volume of Good Life". Allegedly, West did not obtain proper licensing to use Staggs song for his track, "Good Life".

Also, Dayna Staggs is upset over Kanye's song containing vulgar and offensive images in which he believe harms the reputation of his much cleaner song. Get this, Staggs, wants 85% of all world sales of the proceeds from the music that uses his work.

Go figure, hell he should have just demanded all of the money. Leave him with 15% and way no explanation as to how he came up with that number. I'm just saying.

Ludacris and 50 Cent are suing a Spokane, Washington restaurant, The Flame for copyright infringement, which includes using the rappers music without permission.

Allegedly, The Flame allowed cover bands to perform tracks by 50 Cent and Ludacris during business hours without permission. Also, the suit claims that the restaurant has ignored letters from American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP).

The lawsuit is seeking no more than $30,000 and nor less than $750,000 from the eatery.

Tameka Foster who everyone know is married to Usher is keeping tabs on the video shoot for Usher's new song, "Love in the Club", the weekend of March15 in LA. Sources say when Tameka found out that the gorgeous singer, Keri Hilson was personally picked by Usher to play the love interest in the video, let's just say Tameka was not happy.

According to the New York Post, "It was supposed to be a sexy video shoot,"our spy said."And Tameka was there the entire time guarding like a watchdog.It was ridiculous - she knows Keri and knows she's no video ho or Karrine Steffens." Steffans, nicknamed "Superhead,", wrote the book, "Video Vixen", about her alleged flings with Usher and several other artists.

Tameka is very insecure," our source said. "Even in rehearals she was weird and clearly not happy that Keri is so gorgeous. Tameka threw lot of attitude.The day of the shoot, Tameka dressed Keri very badly -she looked like an extra.Tameka wouldn't let Keri have her hairdresser there - she had to use the hairdresser who was doing the extras."

Besides having issues with Keri Hilson, Tameka supposedly disliked Jamaica, Usher's choreographer and banned her from the set. Hmmm.

Benny Medina, who is Usher's manage via email pretty much refuted the rumors of what allegedly happened on set.

I don't know, it seems like Tameka got that on lock.

Amy Winehouse Could Be Heading to Rehab?

Amy Winehouse is considering going to back into rehab. Word is, Winehouse fears life in London holds "too much temptation". Initially, she went into rehab in January to finally kick her drug addiction, but checked out two weeks later.

Since, checking herself out of rehab, Winehouse has looked terrible. She has reportedly been seen with cuts and scratches that some speculate to be self inflicted and of course her recent diagnosis of a contagious skin condition, impetigo which leaves open sores on her body.

A British publication, The Sun, is now reporting the 24 year old has conceded she need further treatment possibly in an international facility.

Sources, say Amy Winehouse management are looking into rehab facilities in Israel as well as Cape Town in South Africa.

Oprah Winfrey has purchased her "bestfriend for life", Gayle King a $7.1 million full-floor sky palace atop the 36th floor building at 207 E. 57th St. This penthouse has three bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths, a large living room/dining area, and a 768 square foot wraparound terrace. Apparently, the new space was purchased under a company called Sophie's Penthouse LLC; weirdly enough is her deceased dog name Sophie.

Nate Dogg Gets Three Years Probation

Nate Dogg has reportedly pleaded guilty to battery and trespassing charges stemming from a 2006 incident. He broke into the home of the mother where his his ex-girlfriend and new boyfriend lived. Then Nate Dogg proceeded to assault the ex's boyfriend and then left after the incident.

Sources, say Nate pleaded guilty to aggravated trespassing and battery in Orange County California Court on March 20. He was given three years probation and ordered not to carry a weapon for ten years. He was also ordered to complete a domestic violence/batters treatment program.

Jones has been working on his upcoming album, "Voice of the Streets". Jones got a couple of hot singles, "Drop and Gimme 50" which was the first single and "Crunchin' Munch" was a track that was leaked on Myspace. Some of the appearances on, "Voice of the Streets" are Lil Wayne, Twista, T-Pain, Hurricane Chris, Z-Ro, Chamillionaire, Plies, Akon, Project Pat, Krayzie Bone and LeToya Luckett; and a couple of the producers were DJ Toomp and J.R. Rotem. Album due in stores April 15.

Sean "Diddy" Combs has settled a lawsuit filed by Gerard Rechnitzer said Diddy assaulted him at a 2007 Oscar party. Initially, when the suit was filed, Gerard Rechnitzer says he and his girlfriend were leaving an event at Teddy's at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel around 2:00 AM when Combs punched him without warning while the Diddy was talking to his girlfriend.

In Rechnitzer's claim he alleges more pushing occurred and Diddy allegedly tried to spit on another woman in the parking lot.

Well, after all the denying and finger pointing, Diddy has settled out court. Diddy's lawyers filed a document in Los Angeles on Friday indicating the case had settled, but the terms were not disclosed.

LL Cool J/Master P & Romeo/DMX Hit The Big Screen

LL Cool J is currently working a new TV series with CSI: Crime Scene Investigation creator Anthony Zulker. This new project is tentatively entitled, "The Man" and LL will be staring and producing this series.

This could be interesting.

Master P and Romeo will star in a movie entitled, "The Pig People", which tells the story of five students who take a trip into a haunted forest to shoot a documentary for a school project. Sounds like "The Blair Witch Project" to me.

"The Pig People" is set to be released sometime in 2009.

DMX will star in an upcoming movie, "The Bleeding" which depicts the life of an ex-Army Ranger, who is seeking the person who murdered his parents. Eventually, he finds a family of vampires living in a nightclub.

The cast includes Michael Madsen, Armand Assante, Vinnie Jones, Kat Von D, William McNamara, Pittsburgh Slim and Rachelle Leah. "The Bleeding" was written by Lance Lane and directed by Charles Picerni. Also, Michael Tadross, Jr. will produce this flick, along with Frank Capra III (Executive Producer) and Charles Yousseff (Co-Producer).

Shooting for "The Bleeding" will begin next month in North Carolina.

Brandy stiffed the "yardman". Brandy failed to pay her landscaper(s) $3,576 in expenses. Raymond Soriano Landscape has filed a claim in a Los Angeles Court alleging that Brandy in deed failed to financially compensate the individual/entity for services rendered between July 2007 and February 2008, therefore requesting financial recovery.

The court date has been set for April 22.

I know Brandy ain't doing that bad that she could not have paid them something. Can we say payment plan, layaway or something?

Tyra's Stalker Got Slap On The Wrist

Tyra Banks had been stalked by the same ex-con drifter, Brady Green, 37 for months. On Tuesday, Mar 19, Green was arrested for allegedly stalking Bank from coast to coast, but was released on bail. According to New York Post, Brady Green had bombarding Tyra with letters and phone calls since early January. He has been sending her flowers and showing up in person at her Los Angeles TV studio. Then, proceeded to take a bus to New York to visit the Chelsea studio where, "The Tyra Banks Show" is taped, in which he further requested to speak with Tyra Banks.

Green then was removed from the premises and subsequently returned later that evening to McDonald's directly across the street from the studio.

Eventually, Green was arrested in the restaurant and charged with stalking, harassment and criminal trespass. The following morning, Green appeared in Manhattan Criminal Court and pleaded not guilty to the charges. He was released on his own recognizance and an order of protection was issued for Tyra Banks.

The Staff at Chelsea studio are worried and concerned that Green will return in the mean time pictures of Brady Green are being handed out in the building, which currently has no security.

Corinne Bailey Rae's Husband Found Dead

Corinne Bailey Rae's husband, Jason Rae, 31 was found dead in a flat in Leeds on Saturday, March 22, said West Yorkshire Police. According to the BBC News, a 32 year old man was arrested on suspicion of supplying controlled drugs. Currently, the man is out on bail.

The preliminary examination is inconclusive and the police are waiting on toxicology reports to confirm the cause of death.

Jason Rae was saxophonist in the band The Haggis Horns, which is described as a "an eight-piece live funk extravaganza". The group has performed and recorded with Amy Winehouse, Mark Ronson and Corinne Bailey Rae. The Haggis Horns debut album was released September '07.

Corinne Bailey Rae and Jason Rae married in 2001.

TI, "Mr. Grand Hustle" has been under house arrest in Atlanta since last year awaiting trial on weapons charges. On Thursday (March 20), a federal magistrate judge has allowed TI to leave his home to attend Easter services at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church on Sunday from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm.

Diddy has completed his deposition in a $130 million lawsuit filed against him in connection to the 1999 shooting outside of a New York nightclub. Shyne, former Bad Boy rapper has also been named in this suit is currently serving a ten year sentence after being found guilty of assault, reckless endangerment and gun possession following the shooting.

Natania Reuben, the victim was shot in the face at the incident at Club New York. In this civil action Reuben is seeking damages for her injuries.

At this point, the judge is left to determine if Shyne acted alone or did he act under the direction of the Bad Boy "organization", I use that term loosely, before the case goes to trial. The second suite was filed by a Boston mother who alleges that she was the "brain" behind Oprah's new television show, Oprah Big Give and has not received any credit or financial compensation for her idea. On this album Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins and Detail were apart of the production team and Lil Kim, Snoop Dogg, The Game, Lil Wayne and others artists will make an appearance on Ray J's album.

Recently, Ray J did an interview with Ballerstatus, for the most part he seemed excited about the album. Then, Ray J was asked about a track on a mixtape that was done with DJ Kay Slay called Unkut.

Russell Simmons line of streetwear as it was later deemed were Phat Farm and Baby Phat have grown into household names for American youths, not only do urban teenager and young adults rock Phat Farm and Baby Phat, suburban youths do as well. So it has definitely crossed many social, racial and economic lines.

Now, Russell Simmons has began to take the urban fashion game to another level, not forgetting about the core consumers that buy his fashions with a new clothing line, American Classics which will be in mainstream department stores. Argyle Culture and Atman lines are up and coming. According to AllHipHop.com, Russell Simmons stated that Argyle Culture will be in Macy's department stores and Atman stores will be opening within the next month and opening one in Canada.

One of the things that Russell Simmons spoke of in his interview with AllHipHop.com was that little kids do grow up and become his own brand and I am sure he will supply that demand for our fashion forward youths.

Kia Shine, rapper known for hit single, "So Krispy" and so "krispy" swag has entered the fashion game. Shine's line entitled, "Krispy Clothing", will be a high end line not necessarily geared toward a certain sector of the population but to consumers that desire quality clothes and can appreciate quality fabric. There has not been a date set to debut "Krispy Clothing" to date.

Karl Kani's new Kani Kouture was unveiled during Mercedes-Benz LA Fashion Week.

Hip hop has progressively changed over the years the youths at the beginning of the hip hip age wore strictly street gear. But now Kanye West makes it okay to be the "Louis Vuitton Don" and Pharrell to take on the conservative look with his own spin on it. The list goes on but we owe this to Russell Simmons and Karl Kani to name few who opened the door and minds for young people to enbrace fashion from every point of view.

All (Juvenile, Mannie Fresh, B.G., Baby and Slim) were there except Turk, who is currently incarcerated and Lil Wayne who's on tour in Europe. Cash Money were suppose to reunite over the All Star Weekend in February '08, but there was some unfortunate violent occurrence at the venue in which the reuion was to suppose to occur.

Cash Money Millionaires are not wasting any time, Wayne and Juvenile along with Trey Songz will appear on B.G.'s first single, "Ya Heard Me" which was produced by Cool & Dre. "Ya Heard Me" is one of the tracks from B.G's upcoming album "Too Hood 2 Be Hollywood". Other producers on this project are T.I. (Executive), Bass Heavy, Don Vito, J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, Khao, Lil C, Mannie Fresh, Mr. Rogers, Nitti, Polow Da Don, Pharrell and Scott Storch.

"Too Hood 2 Be Hollywood" will be released on Atlantic Records. "Ya Heard Me" is scheduled to be released sometime Spring '08 and the album, "Too Hoo 2 Be Hollywood" is set to be released in July '08.

Scott Storch Got 99 Problems and Money Is #1

It appears super producer, Scott Storch's finances have been put on front street once again, literally. According to Baller Status, Scott Storch has put his yacht, named Tiffany up for auction on Ebay. Storch purchased this yacht in 1995 for $11.9 million and other sources say it is currently going for under $600,000.

Last month, Storch had been sued by David Menefield, owner of LA Confidential record label. Menefield claimed he loaned Storch $100,000 to save his home from foreclosure back in 2003. Scott Storch agreed to repay the loan along with other provisions of the agreement with Menefield. Well Scott Storch never paid him. On February 13, Menefield was awarded $509,717 by the courts.

Earlier this year, Dalene Daniel filed a legal motion claiming Storch was a couple of months behind on child support at that particular time. Reportedly he had been continuously late making his child support payment and had some rubber checks too. Ouch!

It also had been reported in The New York Post, Scott Storch owed $435,602 in back taxes on his house in Miami during or around the time of the child support payment issues.

It seems to me he needs to be hustling some beats, some tracks, some something, maybe 2 for 1.

According to the New York Post, Michael Jackson has been able to save Neverland Ranch from being auctioned. Originally, Michael Jackson's beloved Neverland Ranch had been scheduled to be sold off next Wednesday after defaulting on a $24.5 million mortgage. Jackson's lawyer, L. Londell McMillan said Michael Jackson formed a condential refinancing agreement or contract with Fortress Investment Group in order to keep Neverland Ranch.

For a minute though, I thought MJ was broke as a joke or having financial issues but, apparently not too big of a deal because he refinanced this ranch and he has not lived in it since, 2005. MJ is not fooling anybody he has plenty coins.

Idris Elba has been terribly busy with plenty roles in a couple of different films, some very different from the role he played in "The Wire". Elba latest role, in Obsessed appearing along side of Beyonce in a film in which she will executive produce with her father, Matthew Knowles.

Idris Elba and Meagan Good have been casted in a new thriller, Unborn. The name in its self sounds scary.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, this movie depicts the life of a girl (Odette Yustman) who is tormented by the soul of a boy who died in the Holocaust. Meagan Good will play the best friend of girl (Yustman) and Carla Gugino will play the mother the girl.

Elba will play a priest who assists a Rabbi Oldman in conducting exorcisms and Rhys Coiro will play the college professor of the girl (Yustman).

Principal photography has begun, which began on March 5 in Chicago.

Of course you had to know that Diddy was going to be apart of this project, he will serve as executive producer.
